Stock Control as a Service
Your stock counted, recorded and reported by the team holding it - a service, not a software licence you have to run yourself.
A Service, Not a Software Licence
This is not a warehouse management system for you to buy and operate. It is the work itself: goods booked in against the paperwork, counted, given a location, picked accurately and reported back. If the point of using a third-party warehouse is not having to run one, then the counting has to come with it. It applies to stock in any of our three Dubai warehouses.
What Is Actually Tracked
Every movement in or out is recorded against your stock, so the balance is a fact rather than an estimate.
Need Your Stock Counted Properly?
Stock discrepancies almost never appear at the count. They are created earlier and only discovered there.
If arriving goods are booked in from the delivery note rather than counted, every later number inherits that error. Receipts are checked physically.
Stock drawn down in parts is where balances drift. Each release is logged against the consignment as it happens.
Damaged or short stock that is written off informally hides a real problem. Discrepancies are reported to you, not smoothed over.
When storage and counting sit with different parties, neither is accountable. Here the team holding the goods is the team reporting on them.
Stock held temporarily because your own space ran out still needs to appear accurately on your books. Overflow storage is counted and reported the same way as contracted space.
What You Get Back
The output is a position you can act on, in the form you actually need.
What is held, where, and in what condition, so purchasing decisions are made against real numbers.
What came in and what went out, with dates - which is what reconciliation actually requires.
Accurate stock is the precondition for picking orders. See order fulfilment.
Why Cannata
Stock accuracy is an accountability question before it is a technology one. This work runs from our Al Hamriya site in Deira, in the trading quarter the goods are usually destined for.
Goods are physically checked in rather than booked from a delivery note, which is where most errors begin.
Stock sits in facilities we operate, so nobody can point at a landlord when a number does not match.
Storage, handling, picking and reporting are the same business, so the record follows the goods.
Rate Request
Give us the route and the cargo and we will come back with a rate, usually within one working day.
